Have you ever thought to yourself….I would LOVE to do yoga! But got intimidated or nervous when you realized you had no idea where to begin? Don’t worry. You aren’t alone. These 5 poses will help you gain balance and core strength.
This post seems simple but it truly helps center your entire mindset. Stand with feet shoulder width apart, shoulders relaxed, arms by your side.
Slowly, raise your arms over your head and breathe deeply for 30 seconds.
This is a pose that will realign your hips and allow blood flow to your brain. Start on all fours and push your hips to the sky. You should look like an inverted V shape. Breathe deeply for 15 seconds.
Stand with legs apart. Twist body to the right side, keeping feet grounded and unmoving. Stretch arms out to your side and bend right knee 90 degrees into a lunge. Stay for 60 seconds.
Start like you are doing a mountain pose, with arms to the side. Slowly lift up your right leg and position your foot against your inner thigh. Balance and lift your arms over your head with your palms together. Breath for 30 seconds.
Start with feet wide. Extend arms to the side and lean all the way over to your right side allowing your fingertips to brush the bottom of the floor. Hold for 15 seconds.
