Finding the most flattering color should be easy, right? Then how come so many women struggle with it? We set out to answer that question and get you wearing the colors that flatter you the MOST! Too often, we as women go with the trends and don’t give a second thought as to whether or not what we have chosen works with our skin tone. That needs to CHANGE! Take your wardrobe (both clothing + cosmetic) into your own hands and discover what works and what doesn’t, especially as we are turning from Spring into Summer. You can get away with a little more in the winter being inside most of the time, but the sun isn’t very forgiving on those undertones. With more outdoor activities comes more responsibility when it comes to what to wear!
HOW TO FIND YOUR TONE:
Your tone is what color your veins show through your skin. There are three different options here: Blue toned, Green toned, Purple toned. Based on what tone you have, you can tell what colors you should be wearing that will flatter your skin tone the most. This works amazing with clothing but also with lipstick and eyeshadow colors!
Wearing the wrong colors (at any age) can be disastrous. If you are generally sallow (think green undertone) neon yellow is a definite NO-NO. Maybe it wasn’t just the top that made you look ridiculous, it was the color! For example:
To find your tone, you need to look at your veins in your forearm underneath natural sunlight. Your veins will show 1 of 3 colors: blue, green or purple.

IF YOU ARE PURPLE TONED:
Purple toned individual can wear colors like: hot pink, neon color, bright yellow, jewel tones, and natural, earthy colors (think brown, forest green, nude).
IF YOU ARE BLUE TONED:
Blue toned individuals can wear colors like: dark purple, blue, yellow, light pinks, jewel tones and RED. Red especially looks amazing on blue toned people (think bright red lipstick).
IF YOU ARE GREEN TONED:
Green toned individuals can wear colors like: brown, yellow, softer reds, mauve, maroon and most importantly: earthy colors (think brown forest green, nude).
